FROG Trace AppletHere's the first incarnation of the FROG applet. It uses a 64 X 64 grid size.
Try these typical values: width 100, SPM 3, chirp 3000, SCP (spectral cubic phase) 40,000, SQP (spectral quadratic phase) 1,000,000 (start with only one phase distortion at a time). The frequencies are all in angular, not linear, frequency. If the trace extends off the grid in the horizontal (delay) direction, increase the value of Delta T. If the trace extends off the grid in the vertical direction, decrease the value of Delta T. At the moment, the grid is limited to 64X64, so there are limits to the complexity of the pulse you can see here. Previously, it only worked on IE4 or Netscape 4 with the JDK upgrade. I've rewritten it so it should work on JDK 1.0.2 browsers. It works for me on Netscape 3.01. Let me know if you are able (or unable) to see it (tell me which browser you have). |
